Hey, that'd gone pretty well! With the thing retreating out of sight, Cody glanced around the area quickly looking for a new vantage point. It was fairly easy to find one luckily, and he propelled himself forward to a street-light on the other side of the house. It took him a moment to get balanced safely on it, and by the time he had, the creature was menacing the other guy and Misery.

"Oh hell," why'd they gotten out of the car? The idiots. This was going to be tricky. The metal was still lodged in the creature, so concentrating hard, he attracted it towards the ground, hopefully pinning the thing down, or at least pushing the metal deeper into it to distract it. "Run!"

As Noah stood his ground rather than fleeing, it took a bit longer for the injured hell creature to notice him in its path of retreat. It lifted it's head quickly, only just beginning to bare its fangs when it yelped again and stumbled flat to the ground, drooling thick blood and saliva from its gaped jaws as it attempted to squirm its way back to its feet despite the otherworldly force holding it down.

Misery, in the meantime, had passed straight out, one arm falling to dangle limply from her body as she lost all control to unconsciousness.

The thing looked like it could barely stand. So Noah would risk it, with the girl in his arms becoming even worse, even if her sister could undo the sickness she most likely couldn't undo the brain-damage that came from an extended fever. He would do everything in his power to avoid that fate for Misery's sake.

Not waiting for the grotesque thing to get his bearings or footing after the beating it'd received at the hands of the cop and the metal throwing guy, Noah rushed the door. Hoping that whomever was left inside the house was watching closely enough to be able to open the door in short order of their arrival.

If the creature managed to recover somehow and charge it would be in for a terrible surprise.

"Alright buddy, you just stay down" Reza said to the creature as he kept his gun pointed at the monster. He glanced back to see Noah and Misery head inside. At least in there they'd be safe...hopefully. "Hey kid, how long do you think you can hold this thing down? I need to call dispatch, you good if I'm on the radio for a few moments?" Reza asked without turning his head or gun away from the monster.

"I have no idea! What is this?!" Cody could feel the sweat soaking the back of his shirt as he concentrated on pressing the metal down, holding it down. "Shoot it or light it on fire or something!" Even if he could keep up the pressure on it for long enough for backup to arrive, considering how unnatural this thing looked, for all he knew the metal would work its way through, and out of the thing and be able to get back up during that time.

The two remaining sisters had been watching the action closely enough from inside the house that Malady knew when Noah was coming in through the back door, swinging it open quickly as he ran inside before slamming it as hard as she could. The other two could fend for themselves so far as she was concerned.

"What the hell is going on out there?!" Malady screamed, obviously shaken up by this ordeal enough to shatter her usual cool demeanor. She remained with her back flat against the door as if she actually intended on holding it shut if anyone else tried to get in. Malaise remained huddled in a chair in the living room.

Noah hurried inside still holding the passed out Misery in his hands, holding her close to his chest as he cleared the door and was shocked to see both of the women here were completely panicked by whatever that thing was.

The beast made Noah's skin crawl as well, but there wasn't time for that. "That thing's toast soon anyways. I think those guys have it on it's last legs." The young man tried to be re-assuring, even though he felt that thing was still a danger as long as it drew breath.

However as far as Noah was concerned there was an elephant in the room that needed addressing "Fix your sister. She's not doing so well." He demanded holding Misery up to Malady, just short of shoving the younger sister into her oldest sister's arms, so she could work her magic on the girl and cure her like Misery implied she could.

Reza could see that this kid wasn't going to be able to hold this creature for much longer. Steps had to be taken now. Whether this thing was a person or a beast wasn't known yet, but steps had to be taken. Reza turned to the creature and aimed his gun at it one more time, firing three shots directly in to its face in an attempt to slay it. Shooting it had been more effective than his powers so far.
