Personality: Reza is generally distrusting, but not to the point of being unfriendly. With the emergence of powers he became more cautious and far more worried that more harm than good would come out of people gaining super abilities. The government allowed him to stay as a detective though, so he does his best to try to show that powered individuals can work within the law to do some real good. While a lot of detectives would prefer to just find the information and report it, Reza feels compelled to personally finish any case that's given to him. He can't stand to see the weak being abused.

Weapon(s): 1 collapsible baton, 1 standard issue pistol, and 4 lighters to use with his powers.
Power/Ability: Reza has power over flames. This power is rather weak though, and he's only able to manipulate flames on his person. To this end, Reza usually will use a lighter to ignite a flame and "catch" it in his hand. From there, he's able to cause the flames to grow and manipulate them. Reza can throw fireballs, create streams of flames to discourage anyone from getting close, and even coat himself in fire for a short period of time.

Reza also has immunity to getting burned, along with this none of his clothes ever seem to be damaged by his actions either.

History

Reza was born of two Persian immigrants that immigrated to the states before he was born. Having grown up in the city, he was always aware that hatred and racism were very real things. His father owned a small pawn shop, and while he made decent business, he was constantly bullied by a street gang. One day Reza's father turned to the police for help and a few officers made sure the gang never bothered the family again. Reza never forgot the man's kindness, and he knew that he wanted to be just like that man.

Reza eventually graduated the police academy and furthered his career, even getting to the rank of detective at a decently young age. It was only a few months later when the incident happened. Reza didn't notice anything different until he started noticing how he never got hot anymore. His true realization came when he put his hand on a hot stove and his hand didn't feel anything. With a bit of experimentation, Reza found that he could manipulate fire and flames. He immediately reported this to his superiors, as fears of those with powers had started already. Instead of firing him, the law decided that it'd be good to have the face of someone powered trying to help the people.

Reza remains a detective, mainly tracking down cases that have to do with other powered individuals.
